About School House Dog Grooming
In May 2012, School House Dog Grooming was opened and we have continued to expand our services and update our facilities. We offer personalized dog grooming, boarding and daycare with the same compassion and love, we give our own pets. As a customer of School House Dog Grooming, you can trust that your fur babies will be well taken care of with kindness and compassion. We are located in Sheds, NY and service the surrounding DeRuyter and Cazenovia areas. We offer pickup and delivery services to Cazenovia.
Jean Johnson - Owner & Groomer
Jean grew up in DeRuyter and has worked with dogs for over 30 years. She attended Morrisville College, majoring in Fish and Wildlife Conservation, where she spent two years working with the elephants at Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse. After two decades of grooming and raising two children, it was time to open her own shop in the old schoolhouse that she now calls home. When not grooming dogs, Jean enjoys running, camping, and taking care of her two dogs, Danica a Newfoundland and Annie, a Yorkshire Terrier.
Beth Westcott - Grooming Manager
Beth is from Earlville, NY and graduated from SUNY Delhi with a Veterinary Science Tech degree. She has over 25 years of experience grooming all breeds of dogs.
Patrisha Wilcox - Boarding Manager & Day Care Provider
Patrisha, an avid dog lover and raised around dogs, is the daughter of owners Jean and Brett. She is currently earning certifications in Canine First Aid and Behavioral Training. Patrisha lives on-site with her two pit bulls, Lucca and Luna, and is excited about her future in the family business.
